This post is all about God's promises, crushing fear with 25 Bible Verses about faith over fear. Today is your day to begin to replace your fear with faith and stand on the promises of God. The goal is to crush the fear in your life!
If fear is controlling your life, come with me and let's talk about fear and some truths. Together, let's see how it is possible to crush fear! Let's get started!

Fear might feel like a mountain in front of you; however, with faith, it is possible to reach the top of the mountain and crush it. Often, in the valley, is when the Lord does His best work in you.
No matter how fear develops in your life, the result is the same. Unless you take action, fear hurts your life. Fear can consume your thoughts, paralyze you from moving forward, and ultimately cause health issues. However, fear can teach us to draw close to the Lord and depend on Him alone.
If your fear is because your life is in danger or if you are in an abusive situation, please VALUE YOURSELF and get professional help now. You are loved and you are valued. Do not believe the lies, go get help.
Where does fear come from?
Come and sit with me for a few minutes. You may feel like fear is an uphill battle and difficult to get through.

Feelings of fear are a natural response, a human response, and something that humanity has struggled with since the beginning of time. The Bible repeatedly mentions fear to remind us that we are not alone and that fear does not originate from God.
2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT), “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
Fear is a way for Satan to move into your mind and to do what he does best: steal, kill, and destroy. Christ has already won the victory, and unfortunately, we often believe the lies that Satan tells us. Satan ramps up in whatever way he can simply because he knows the truth, and he does not want us to live life to the fullest as God intended it to be.
John 10:10 (NLT), Jesus says, “The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”
Jesus tells us over and over again that fear does not come from Him but from Satan.
There are stories of faith over fear in the Bible.

Jesus tells us stories and parables about how fear could have won the battle, but because of faith, they were victorious.
He demonstrates this clearly in the story of David and Goliath.
1 Samuel 17 (NIV) is the story of David and Goliath. Instead of David focusing on the giant and being afraid, he put his trust in God and had faith in Him to face the giant. WOW! If you want to be encouraged and are not familiar with the story of David and Goliath I encourage you to read it!
Another story the Lord tells us in 2 Chronicles 20 is about King Jehoshaphat. Even though he was a king, he was afraid, but he responded in faith, inviting the Lord into the battle and letting the Lord fight his battle. If you have not read this story, I encourage you to take a few minutes to read it.
If you were to lay your fear at the cross and truly surrender it to God and respond in faith, how would that change your life? You and I were not made to have the spirit of fear. There is a Savior named Jesus who came into this world, who will fight your battles and your fears. He is waiting for you to give it to Him.
There are gifts available to you when you respond with faith.

God's word says in Ephesians 6:12 (NIV), “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
The Lord has given you gifts, the Holy Spirit and the Holy Bible, the living, breathing Word of God. Another gift He gives you is peace when you grow close to Jesus.
John 14:27 (NIV), “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.“
This peace is not man-made; it comes only from God. You can truly rest in His presence with these gifts, even when everything around you is shaken.
When you put your complete trust in Him, you have a roadmap to move through your fear.
Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV) says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Now, let's look together at a collection of 25 Bible verses about faith over fear.

Haggai 2:5 (NIV), “This is what I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt. And my Spirit remains among you. Do not fear.”
Some more Bible verses from the New Testament.
Matthew 10:26 (NIV), “So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.”
Matthew 10:28-31 (NIV), “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
Luke 12:7 (NIV), “Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
Luke 12:32 (NIV), “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.”
John 14:27 (NIV), “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
Romans 8:15 (NIV), “The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”
Hebrews 13:5-6 (NIV), “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”
1 John 4:18 (NIV), “ There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”
What we have learned from these powerful scriptures.

It is God's plan that we not live in fear but feel God's presence and God's love in this broken world. The Lord wants us to respond to fear by seeking Him first and having faith. When we experience fear or face difficulty, we should trust God, lean on him, stand on his promises, rest in Him, and have faith.
The Lord never promised you or me that life would be easy. What he did promise us is that he would be with us.
Romans 8:28 (NIV), “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” God is saying that He will work all things out for the good of those who love Him, not that every area of our lives will be easy.
We will experience spiritual warfare, uncertain times, and difficult periods, often at the most inconvenient times. My friend, keep looking up with your eyes on Jesus and keep that heavenly perspective. It will change your life.
I challenge you to pick out your favorite Bible verses from this list.

The next time you begin to experience that moment of fear, you will be able to feel the presence of God. But let me remind you: it doesn't mean you have little faith if you feel fear.
Faith continues to grow, and with time, it will become stronger and stronger. You will see God's hand in your life. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He promises He will never leave you. The Lord will help you walk through it.
Faith is Found All In The Heart. The condition of your heart is the core of how you respond to life. Faith in the Lord will change your perspective. As it grows, you will have a heavenly perspective.
It is essential to remember that when you experience fear, God wants you to respond with faith, not with fear.

Stand on His promises and on truth. Not the lies of the enemy.
