Faith Crushes Fear With 31 Bible Verses About Better Days

This post is all about when faith crushes fear and how to learn to get through today with faith, with 31 Bible verses about better days ahead.

Fear and discouragement have a way that makes you feel like today is impossible.

You keep waiting, wondering if things will get better, if your life will ever change, and if your unanswered prayers will ever be answered. You may feel so alone, like you are on an island by yourself, and you may even question where God is.

Life is hard.

You may even think, if God is good, then why would God let this happen? If you are having these thoughts, I get it. I have been there. Of course, our stories are all different.

Today is the beginning of a shift in your mind.

What if you could learn to shift your focus to the promises of God and understand that these hard times are temporary and that good will come from them? If Scripture isn't just words but God is speaking directly to you, to your situation, reminding you that better days aren't just possible but promised?

When your fear tells you that you are stuck, nothing will change, it is too hard to overcome, or things will not get better, this is when faith comes back to the truth given to us in the Word of God.

You are getting transformed and stronger. Although this process may feel slow, hold on to your faith. God is doing His best work in you right now.

So, what can you do that would be helpful to get through this time, this day, this hour, these times of trouble?

Come with me and learn how to get through today with faith and Bible Verses about better days ahead.

Just maybe, because of what you are going through now, you will have an eternal impact on the Kingdom of God.

When you look back on this season, you would not want to walk through it again, but you will be so thankful for what you have learned and how your relationship with the Lord has strengthened and deepened. It is during this season that you get to know Him. Your life will be transformed.

You will realize that you are not alone and the Lord is right there with you. You will look back and see His fingerprints all over it.

Before I walked through my devastating season, I knew about God. I had gone to church my entire life, and I thought I knew God, but it was during this time that I experienced God and learned who He is. Jesus became my best friend, my comforter, my provider, my rock, my peace. God's love changed my life. The peace of God and the love of God that I feel in my heart are personal. I am forever grateful. That hard season made an eternal difference in my life.

When everything around you feels uncertain, and you are feeling discouraged, maybe even fearful, wondering if it will ever get better, stand on a solid foundation. The word of God, the Holy Bible, God's word, and seek the Lord as you have never before.

God is with YOU. HE is faithful.

Bible Verses About Better Days

1. Hebrews 13:8

Hebrews 13:8 (NIV), “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

Pray and stand on the promises of God. Trust Him. Have faith.

Let's first understand the battle against fear or discouragement, because it makes you believe that better days are impossible.

Fear makes the present moment feel permanent. It operates in the absence of truth. Satan rules this earth and wants you to be right where you are, feeling discouraged, fearful, and stuck.

2. John 10:10

John 10:10 (NIV), The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

3. 2 Timothy 1:7

2 Timothy 1:7 (ESV), for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

4. Ephesians 6:12

Ephesians 6:12 (NIV),  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

When you do not know what Scripture says about your future, fear and discouragement write their own versions. That version never ends up in a good place. It will keep you up at night, make your chest hurt, and give you anxiety; you will feel discouraged and fearful.

Bible verses about better days show how Faith crushes fear by believing and keeping your eyes on the hope and love of Jesus.

There is hope for you, and hope has a name. It is Jesus.

5. Romans 15:13

Romans 15:13 (NIV), May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Faith allows you to anchor your mind in God's promises, which are stronger than anything you are facing. It allows you to view reality through the lens of eternity rather than through anxiety or fear.

It allows you to know in your heart that God is working behind the scenes for your good. Faith is a decision, not a feeling. Faith is Found All In The Heart. Trust in Him.

6. Hebrews 11:1

Bible verses about better days ahead

Hebrews 11:1 (ESV), “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

7. Hebrews 11:6

Hebrews 11:6 (NIV), “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

8. 2 Corinthians 5:7

2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV), “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

9. Ephesians 6:16

Ephesians 6:16 (NIV), “In addition to all of this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”

When I was going through my tough season, this is when things changed for me. Faith went from my mind to my heart. It stopped being words and became my lifeline.

How do you anchor your mind in truth with Bible verses about better days ahead?

10. Romans 10:17

Romans 10:17 (ESV), ” So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

Faith comes from hearing the Word of God. Now it is time to begin the process of rewiring your brain. You need to not just read the words; your brain needs to hear them.

Intentionally and boldly speak out loud God's word, what He has already promised over your life and your situation. By doing this, you speak with faith and conviction and align His promises with your situation; it is not about feelings, it is about the promises of God.

11. Isaiah 55:11

Isaiah 55:11 (NIV), “so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

12. Proverbs 3:5-6

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

This verse became my life verse. In my difficult times, I had to put my trust in the Lord each day, and each day the Lord gave me my steps and directed my path. I would pray this out loud every day. It was life-changing.

13. Romans 15:13

Bible Verses About Better Days

Romans 15:13 (NIV), “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

God isn't asking you to figure it out. He's asking you to trust Him while He works it out. He is asking you to have faith.

14. Romans 12:2

Romans 12:2 (NIV), “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

This is speaking the Word of God, truth, over your life and His promises; it is not positive thinking.

Bible verses about better days that anchor hope.

15. Deuteronomy 31:6

Deuteronomy 31:6 (NLT), So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

Biblical hope is rooted in promises spoken by the God who sees your struggle and has already written restoration into your story.

16. Jeremiah 29:11

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV), For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

This is a reminder that where you are at right now is not the end of your story. It is a direct promise. What you are going through is not a surprise to Him. He is right there with you, and He knows the plans He has for YOU. Plans to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Memorize this verse and speak it over your life each day. Write it down and put it where you will see it. You could put it on your mirror, as a screen saver, in your car, by your bed, be reminded of it until it is written in your heart.

Your timing is not the Lord's timing. He is never early or late; he is always right on time.

17. Romans 8:28

Romans 8:28 (NIV), And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

It does not say all things are good. The Lord will take your situation, which may feel hopeless at the moment, and work it together for good.

18. Isaiah 43:18-19

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV), “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

This is a reminder to stop looking back. My friend used to tell me that is why the rear-view mirror is small. Learn from the past, but don't keep looking back. Keep your eyes on Jesus. You do not want to miss what the Lord is blessing you with right now or the plans He has for you.

19. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (ESV), For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

20. Psalm 30:5

Bible Verses about better days

Psalm 30:5 (NIV), …Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.

21. Isaiah 40:31

Isaiah 40:31 (NLT), But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.

The following Bible verses remind you that God is with you, and He sees your struggle. Trust Him.

22. Psalm 46:1

Psalm 46:1 (ESV), God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

23. Philippians 4:13

Philippians 4:13 (NIV), “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”

24. Romans 5:3-5

Romans 5:3-5 (ESV), Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

25. Psalm 23:4

Psalm 23:4 (ESV), Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

26. Isaiah 41:10

Isaiah 41:10 (NIV), So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

27. Matthew 6:26-30

Matthew 6:26-30 (NIV), Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?

28. Micah 7:7

Bible Verses about better days ahead

Micah 7:7 (NLT), As for me, I look to the LORD for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.

If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, then YOU are a child of God. Hold on to your faith because brighter days are ahead. God's power is at work, and at the proper time, you will wake up and have a new day with all of this that you are struggling with now behind you. When you look back, you will see the fingerprints of God. This just might be part of your testimony.

I am living proof of this.  I felt led to write my testimony, When The Lord Carried Me. Even though I would never want to walk through that season again, I am grateful because it changed my life.

When you think about life, it is easy to praise God on the mountain, but it is in the valley where you get to know who He is. It is the difficult days, the tough days, that you learn to seek Him with your whole heart and trust Him.

29. Philippians 1:6

Philippians 1:6 (NLT), And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

30. 1 Peter 1:3-4

1 Peter 1:3-4 (NLT), All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay.

31. Habakkuk 3:17-19

Habakkuk 3:17-19 (NIV),  Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. For the director of music. On my stringed instruments.

Even though he had lost everything, he would still rejoice in the Lord. Believe me, I know how hard this is to do, rejoice in the Lord in hard times. Sometimes it feels like the Lord is blessing everyone around you, but not you. Still, thank God so you can see the things He is doing, not focusing on what you want or don't have. The Lord is your strength.

TRUST HIM. God has YOU and will make a way! Have FAITH!

A prayer for you.

Heavenly Father, I come to you today and ask for your help to trust you when I fall short. I am struggling and want to believe you have good plans for me. Help me to keep my eyes on You and stand on Your promises. I thank you for this day and thank you for loving me. Holy Spirit, fill me up with your Spirit and speak to me. Guide me and show me what I am to do today. I want to be an example for You, for others to see You in me. Please put a protective hedge around my family and me. Lord, pour your peace over me and wrap your love around me. I want to feel Your presence. Thank you for loving me, for forgiving me, and for being my Lord and Savior. In Jesus name, Amen.

If you have never invited Jesus to live in your heart, a prayer for you.

A Salvation prayer for you.

Heavenly Father, I come to you today as a sinner. Please forgive me of my sins. I believe you came to earth, were crucified on a cross, and shed your blood for me and my sins. You rose from the grave three days later and conquered death. I believe you ascended to heaven, and You are preparing a place for me. I want you to be my Lord and Savior, to live in my heart. Help me to love like you and be an example for you. Thank you for your grace, for forgiving me, for loving me, and for giving me eternal life. In Jesus name, Amen.

If you just prayed this prayer, we are celebrating with you! It is the most important decision you will make in your lifetime!
