27 Beautiful Bible Verses About Flowers For You
This post is Bible verses about flowers and their symbolic meaning throughout Scripture.

Do you ever find yourself overlooking the beauty of the simple things in life?
More specifically, have you ever stopped to really look at the details of a flower or thought about the meaning of a flower?
I have to admit, I have been around flowers my entire life. My dad loved giving my mom flowers, my grandma had an incredible flower garden, and my mom loved growing flowers. I have always enjoyed flowers, but it wasn't until the past few years that I truly learned to appreciate their beauty and to relate them to God.
There are many Bible Verses about flowers.
Before we look at God's word, what comes to your mind when you think of a flower?
Have you ever really thought about it?
Come with me and let's talk about flowers and 27 Bible verses about flowers.

Since a flower begins as a seed, let's begin with a few Bible verses about seeds.
1- Luke 8:11 (NIV), “… The seed is the word of God.”
2- Galatians 6:7-9 (NIV), “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
3- 2 Corinthians 9:6 (NIV), “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”
4- 1 Corinthians 3:7 (NIV), “So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.”

The Parable of the Sower.
The Parable of the Sower. I encourage you to read Matthew Chapter 13.
5- Matthew 13:3-9 (NIV), ” Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Whoever has ears, let them hear.”
The Parable of the Growing Seed.
6- Mark 4:26-29 (NIV), “He also said, “This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain—first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”
The Parable of the Mustard Seed.
7- Mark 4:30-32 (NIV), “Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.”
Here is a list of Bible verses about flowers.

8- Isaiah 40:8 (NIV), “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”
9- 1 Peter 1:24-25 (NIV), “For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.”
10- Matthew 6:28-29 (NIV), ““And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.”
11- Psalm 103:15-16 (NIV), “The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.“
12- Song of Solomon 2:1-2 (NIV), “I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys. Like a lily among thorns is my darling among the young women.”
13- Song of Solomon 2:12 (NIV), “Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.”
14- Song of Solomon 5:13 (ESV), “His cheeks are like beds of spices, mounds of sweet-smelling herbs. His lips are lilies, dripping liquid myrrh.”
15- Song of Solomon 6:2 (NIV), “My beloved has gone down to his garden, to the beds of spices, to browse in the gardens and to gather lilies.”
16- Isaiah 40:7 (NIV), “The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the LORD blows on them. Surely the people are grass.”

17- Matthew 6:25-34 (NIV), ““Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
18- James 1:9-11 (ESV), “Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away. For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits.”
19- 1 Kings 6:18 (NIV), “The inside of the temple was cedar, carved with gourds and open flowers. Everything was cedar; no stone was to be seen.”
20- 1 Kings 6:29 (NIV), “On the walls all around the temple, in both the inner and outer rooms, he carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers.”
21- 1 Kings 6:32 (NIV), “And on the two olive-wood doors he carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid the cherubim and palm trees with hammered gold.”
22- 1 Kings 6:35 (NIV), “He carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers on them and overlaid them with gold hammered evenly over the carvings.”
23- Isaiah 28:1 (ESV), “Ah, the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim, and the fading flower of its glorious beauty, which is on the head of the rich valley of those overcome with wine!”
24- Isaiah 40:6 (NIV), “A voice says, “Cry out.” And I said, “What shall I cry?” “All people are like grass, and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field.“
25- Isaiah 35:1-2 (NIV), “The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the Lord, the splendor of our God.”
26– Exodus 25:32-35 (ESV), “And there shall be six branches going out of its sides, three branches of the lampstand out of one side of it and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side of it; three cups made like almond blossoms, each with calyx and flower, on one branch, and three cups made like almond blossoms, each with calyx and flower, on the other branch—so for the six branches going out of the lampstand. And on the lampstand itself there shall be four cups made like almond blossoms, with their calyxes and flowers, and a calyx of one piece with it under each pair of the six branches going out from the lampstand.”
27- Isaiah 18:5 (NIV), “For, before the harvest, when the blossom is gone and the flower becomes a ripening grape, he will cut off the shoots with pruning knives, and cut down and take away the spreading branches.”
Bible verses about flowers have so many symbolic meanings.

Flowers symbolize new beginnings, God's provision, God's promises, human life, spiritual growth, God's care, God's love, and simply the beauty of God and creation.
If the Lord cares about the intricate details of a little flower, how much more does He care about you and the details of your life?
You were made in the image of God. He wants a personal relationship with you.
The love of God is something that you can not duplicate, just like you can not duplicate the color or the smell of a fragrant flower.
If you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and He is your Lord and Savior, then go to Him with a grateful heart and thank Him for all of His goodness all around you, even if it is simply for the beauty of a flower that He created.
Life goes fast, like a flower; it doesn't last long, but the Word of God lasts forever!
Have you ever taken time to examine a flower and its petals?

The colors of a flower petal or the aroma of a flower cannot be duplicated. A creator may try to duplicate colors of God's creation or a smell, but it is always clearly a copy.
The beauty of flowers and the intricate details of their petals are so incredibly designed and gorgeous. Again, something you can not replicate.
When you think about God's creation, the beauty we see here on earth, like a flower petal, the glory of heaven will be something we can not even imagine! WOW!
Next time you see a flower, think of all it represents and the awesome handiwork of God.
When I see flowers, I think… could God use flowers as an analogy of humanity?

A seed being the Word of God and us. We are created in His image, but because God is a God of choices, we have a choice to believe or not.
The seed resembles us in this world, and the world is like the dirt, like the seed of a flower in dirt.
How you feed the seed will determine the outcome of the flower or your life and eternity.
A seed responds to how it is nourished. Like us, you can be surrounded by things that are evil, drugs, bad company, make bad choices, separate yourself from God, and it will have a negative impact on your life.
Or you could choose to surround yourself with a more positive environment, make good choices daily, do your best, and strive to grow and become better.
You can invite Jesus into your heart, believe, have faith, put your full trust in Him alone, and build a personal relationship with Him. Also, you can create a community, surround yourself with friends who are believers, attend church, read the Word of God, listen to Christian music, and fill your mind with pure, true things.
Depending upon how you lived your life when you leave this world, or like the nourishment of the flower in the dirt, there will be a direct result of the growing process.
A flower will be beautiful, or it may not make it.
For you, if you invite Jesus to live in your heart here on earth and have faith, you will never die. You will have eternal life and become a citizen of heaven.
Or if you do not accept the Lord as your personal Savior, you will leave this life for an eternity in hell. This is a clear decision you made to be without the Lord here on earth and for eternity.

If you have never accepted Christ Jesus into your life, He has an open invitation to you and is waiting for you.
Your life will be changed from the inside out. You will experience a love that you can not explain, a joy that no man can take away, and a peace that surpasses all understanding.
A Salvation prayer for you.
Dear Lord, thank you for caring about even the little details of my life. I know I am a sinner, and I ask for forgiveness of my sins. I want to invite you to come into my heart and live there, being the Lord of my life. Jesus, I believe you came to earth, lived a blameless life, and were crucified on the cross. I believe the blood of Jesus was shed for me on the cross for my sins. I believe you rose from the grave, and you are preparing a place for me in heaven. I want to live my life for you and spend eternity with you. Lord, thank you for loving me. Help me and guide me in my new life with You. In Jesus name, Amen.
