Hope For You-Bible Verses About The Power Of Prayer
This post is Bible Verses about the power of prayer and to help give you a better understanding of the power of prayer in your life.
Come along with me and let's look together at some powerful Bible Verses in the Word of God.

If you are a new believer, before we look at Bible Verses about the power of prayer, let's begin with the foundation. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to this earth born of a virgin. He walked this earth for 33 years and lived a blameless life. Jesus was crucified on the cross and three days later conquered death and rose again. Jesus ascended to heaven, where he is preparing a place for you. He left the power of the Holy Spirit to guide and direct your steps, along with the Word of God. Wow! God is love.
Scripture tells us in Luke 19:10 (NIV), “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
1 Timothy 2:5 (NIV), “For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.”
John 3:16 (NIV), “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
God is a relational God, and He is the only living God. He has already paid the price for you. All He asks is for your heart, to believe, have faith, and to trust Him as your personal Savior. To place your faith only in Him and then to keep your eyes on Jesus.
Because God is relational, prayer is essential in our daily lives. This is how you can communicate with the God who created you! The God who loves you and the God who made you in His image. He wants to give you good gifts and the desires of your heart.
Just like a parent does on earth with their child. They want the very best for them. The same goes for the Lord; He wants good things for you.
Matthew 7:9-11 (NIV), “You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.”
How does the God of Hope and the Power of God work in your everyday life when you pray?
If you choose to have unwavering faith and put your full trust in Jesus, there is great power in prayer.

If you truly believe prayer is powerful, does it change your prayer life?
I personally have seen the power of prayer. I have witnessed chains of addiction break, relationships restored, fears replaced with faith, needs met at just the right time, and the list can go on. The power of prayer has changed my life.
This website was created to give people hope in a broken world. There is hope, and His name is Jesus. He is waiting for you to come to Him and have a personal relationship with Him. If you are exploring the Christian faith or are new to being a Christian, just because you pray does not mean life is easy.
Will God answer every prayer as you would like? You ask a long-time Christian, and the answer is No. Not every prayer will be answered as you think it will. Prayers are answered in God's timing, and from my experience, it has never been early or late, but always the perfect time.
It is important to keep in perspective that we do live in a fallen world that Satan rules, so bad things happen. Your prayer might not be answered this side of heaven, but when you pray, you are in the presence of God, and you are loved. That is a loving father. He wants to bless you.
When you pray, you might thank the Lord for all He has done, and express gratitude. You might ask for God's help and God's guidance. Sometimes you may pray for others in intercessory prayer. If you are in a time of need, or in a day of trouble, pray. You may need His healing power, but whatever you pray about, you want it to be the will of God. It is a personal relationship between you and the Lord. You have the Holy Spirit living inside of you, a true companion. He is always with you, but you must pray and talk to Him.
I would list for you the best Bible Verses about the power of prayer, but all verses are the best when it comes to God's word.
Bible Verses about the power of prayer.
Philippians 4:5-7 (NIV), “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

The peace of the Lord is a peace that you can not describe. If you are living in chaos and everything around you feels like it has fallen apart, you will still feel peace inside of you, and that is from the Lord. It is a peace this world can not give you. So, do not be anxious about anything; talk to the Lord, pray. The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and mind. WOW! That is power!
John 14:13-14 (ESV), “Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.”
Matthew 7:7 (NIV), “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
Mark 11:24 (NIV), “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Matthew 6:6 (ESV), “But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”
Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV), “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
John 15:7 (ESV), “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”
James 1:5 (NIV), “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV), “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

The Lord says to pray continually.
There is no set time when you are to pray. The great thing about this is that He is always there waiting for you. So pray when you wake up, pray throughout the day, pray before you go to sleep. If you wake up in the night, what a perfect time to pray and be with the Lord, free from distractions. He wants to hear from you continually.
Matthew 21:21 (ESV), “And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.”
Matthew 21:22 (NLT), “You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.”
James 1:6 (ESV), “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.”
It is said in Bible Verses you must have faith and you will witness the power of prayer.
Ephesians 6:18 (NIV), “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”
Proverbs 15:29 (NIV), “The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.”
1 John 3:22 (ESV), “and whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.”
Matthew 26:41 (NIV), “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

When you pray, the Lord will help you.
If you are struggling with a sin, pray. You do not have to wait for your life to be perfect, because guess what: it will never be. Go to the Lord and pray when your life is messy. He wants you to come as you are. You will see how the Lord will change you from the inside out when you believe, trust, have faith, and pray.
Romans 8:26 (NIV), “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.”
Matthew 6:33 (ESV), “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
James 5:14-16 (ESV), “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
1 Chronicles 4:10 (NIV), “Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, ‘Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.”
I would pray the prayer of Jabez when I had my own business and I pray this over this website to reach others and point people to Jesus. You can personalize scripture for your life too. There is power in prayer!
Luke 22:42 (NIV), “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”
This is a perfect reminder that Jesus prayed, the importance of prayer and praying for God's will to be done.
1 John 5:14-15 (NIV), “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”
Over and over Bible Verses gives examples of the power of prayer and how someone prayed and it was answered.
Luke 1:13 (NIV), “But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John.”
Acts 16:25-27 (ESV), “About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them, and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bonds were unfastened. When the jailer woke and saw that the prison doors were open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped.”
Psalm 34:17-18 (ESV), “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:4 (NIV), “I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.”

Psalm 107:28-30 (ESV), “Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven.”
Jeremiah 29:11-15 (NIV), “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord , and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you, declares the Lord , and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile. You may say, “The Lord has raised up prophets for us in Babylon,”
There are multiple Bible Verses that demonstrate the power of prayer and how the Lord answers those prayers. God loves you so much. He wants you to come to Him in prayer.

Prayer of Salvation.
I believe one of the most powerful prayers is the first prayer to the Lord. This is the prayer of Salvation. This is a prayer that changes everything, including eternity! WOW!
If you have not asked Jesus into your heart and would like Him as your personal Savior, talk to Him like you would a friend. Here is a prayer, but you can make it your own.
Lord, I know I am a sinner. I come to you as I am. Please forgive me of my sins. I believe you came to earth, born of a virgin, were crucified for my sins on a cross, and rose from the grave three days later. I invite you into my heart. Please guide me and fill me up with your spirit. I thank you for loving me, forgiving me, and thank you for being my Lord and Savior. Thank you for giving me the gift of eternal life. In Jesus name Amen.
If you just prayed that prayer, I am so excited for you!

If you truly believe prayer is powerful, why wouldn't you pray continually?
Lord, I want more of You. Please help me and guide me to be more intentional about my prayer life and talking to you. I love you. I put my full trust in You, Lord. I know and believe that prayer changes everything and is powerful. Help me to remember to go to you first in prayer before my friends. Lord, I want You to be the first one I talk to in the morning and the last one I talk to before I go to sleep. Thank you for loving me. Amen
Worship songs are also powerful when put with scripture. You can sing them to the Lord and claim them over your life. Leanna Crawford-Still Waters (Psalm 23) is a good example of this.
This post was about Bible Verses about the power of prayer, and to help give you a better understanding of the power of prayer in your life. Talk to the Lord and watch how the power of prayer will change your life.
“FAITH CRUSHES FEAR BY BELIEVING AND KEEPING YOUR EYES ON THE HOPE AND LOVE OF JESUS.”
“FAITH CRUSHES FEAR BECAUSE HOPE IS ETERNAL AND LOVE NEVER FAILS.”
