My testimony of God's presence, power, and promise.
I was walking through a very difficult season in my life, and I would go up to the dam in our town and pray and cry out to the Lord. One afternoon, when I was there, I did not just have tears; I sobbed to the Lord. I could not understand why God would allow so many trials. Every day was a new challenge during a very difficult time. On that particular day, I felt like God had left me and forgotten about me.
I was looking up at the sky, sobbing and praying, ‘God, if you are there, show me something! I need you!' As I looked up at the sky, two big clouds suddenly started moving toward one another. In seconds, the clouds became one and vanished.
I felt like that was my sign I needed! I knew God was in control and He cared about my kids and me. He was hearing me! I knew He had a plan, and we were not forgotten.
That moment was life-changing for me. I felt His presence, power, peace, love, and knew that I was not alone. He was right there walking with me through it all! I knew God was real and He was faithful. My faith began to grow. I began to stand on His promises.
Even though that afternoon was about 20 years ago, I still get a lump in my throat and have tears well up when I think about that day. I could not wait to share what had just happened with my friends and kids. Now I have the opportunity with you.
Over the years, my faith has continued to grow as I have seen God's faithfulness in new ways through different seasons. I hope you are encouraged to know that faith is a journey, and God is with you every step of the way, just as He has been with me.
I took my three kids up there, had our picture taken, wrote ‘God is in control' on it, and hung it in our home. That was God!
Keep looking up with your eyes on Jesus. One day, He will come back again in those clouds!

Lord, I come to you today as a sinner and ask for your forgiveness. I want to invite you into my heart and for you to be Lord of my life. God, I believe your Son Jesus came to earth and lived a blameless life, was crucified on the cross for me, and shed His blood for my sins. I believe Jesus rose from the grave and ascended to heaven, and left the gift of the Holy Spirit to live in me. Thank you, Lord, for loving me and forgiving me. Thank you for my new citizenship in heaven, where I will have eternal life. Please guide me as I walk my new life with you. In Jesus name, Amen.
