That is when you anchor yourself to God's standards; you shift your focus from doing everything for people to doing everything for the Lord, and that changes everything. How to apply God's standards to your life.
It is important to remember that Jesus already paid the price on the cross for you. Living by God's standards is about being set apart from this world and reflecting His character in a world that desperately needs Christ. It is not living by the desires of the flesh or by the standards of this world. So every choice you make, do what is right, even when it is hard. This is an act of worship to the One who shed His blood for YOU. It is all about living a life to honor the One who gave His life for YOU.
The Lord does not expect perfection, but He does want you to be faithful. God sees it all. So when you mess up and make the wrong choice, own up to it, repent, ask God for forgiveness, give yourself grace, and do the right thing. The Lord will forgive you, restore you, empower you, and give you strength to do what is right in this broken world.
Keep your eyes on Jesus, and when others see you, I pray they see Jesus and experience the love of God.
Philippians 4:8 (NIV), Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Colossians 3:15 (NIV), Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
The decision is yours to stand firm and make God your solid foundation.

I challenge you today to seek God's guidance and ask for God's help. Stand on God's promises and be the light of the world. Doing the right thing is a big deal to God, so let your light shine for God's kingdom and choose to be God-honoring in all you do.

You can come just as you are, no need to get your life perfect or jump through any hoops or perform good works. Christ Jesus paid the price for you already on the cross for your sins. He has done all the work. Salvation is a gift from the Creator to YOU.

You ascended to heaven, where you are preparing a place for me to have eternal life. I believe you left me the Holy Spirit to help guide me and direct my steps. Lord, I want to be God-honoring in all that I do. I know I need You, and I can not do it with my own strength. Thank you for loving me and forgiving me. I trust You, Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.
